The Sub-Zero UC-15I is a 15-inch undercounter clear-ice maker. The UC-15IP adds a drain pump, and the UC-15IO/IPO are outdoor versions. Common repairs are descaling, water pump, water valve, drain pump, sensors, controls and condenser service.
Overview
Clear ice is made by circulating water over a chilled evaporator plate. Minerals stay behind in the water, which is drained. That makes the UC-15I very sensitive to hard water scale.
