Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer drawers (ID-24, ID-30, 700BR/700BF and outdoor models) usually fail because of blocked toe-kick airflow, dirty condensers, fan motors, thermistors, damaged drawer slides or gaskets. Convertible drawers can also have mode, damper or valve problems. We repair all of them.

Common Drawer Problems
Drawer not cold enough
Drawers breathe through the toe-kick grille. Rugs, trim or dust that block that grille starve the condenser. Fan failures and thermistor faults are also common.
Drawer won't close or seal
Overloaded drawers and years of use wear the slides and gaskets. A drawer that doesn't seal causes frost, sweating and alarms. See door and drawer not closing.
Convertible drawer won't switch modes
Convertible drawers use sensors and airflow or refrigerant control to switch between refrigerator and freezer temperatures. If a drawer won't reach its mode, we test the sensors, controls and the component that directs cooling.
Ice in the bottom drawer
Drain problems or a drawer left slightly open cause frost and ice in freezer drawers.
