Showroom mode (demo mode) makes a Sub-Zero's lights and display work while the compressor and fans stay off, so there's no cooling. It's used in showrooms and sometimes gets activated accidentally after installation or cleaning the control panel. Exiting showroom mode restores normal operation.
What It Means
Showroom mode lets dealers display a unit without running the refrigeration system. Everything looks normal, but nothing cools.
Common Causes
- Activated accidentally by a key sequence
- Left on after delivery or a remodel
What You Can Do
- Check your use & care guide for the showroom mode key sequence for your model.
- If you can't find it, call us and we'll walk you through it.
What a Technician Does
If exiting showroom mode doesn't restore cooling, we diagnose the cooling system.
